On Saturday, October 21 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Inland Woods + Trails will be hosting a field trip for those interested in learning more about community forests and participating in the public planning process for the proposed Rumford Community Forest. By Friday, October 13, please complete this short registration form indicating your attendance and transportation needs.
Our day will begin at Buck’s Ledge in Woodstock, Maine and end at Bethel Community Forest in Bethel, Maine. You will have the opportunity to visit two nearby community forests and hear from those who helped establish them. We hope this will be a great learning experience for you all. (agenda follows).
Please dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions, as the day may require easy walking. Warm clothes and comfortable shoes for walking on forested trails. Light snacks will be provided.
