The Town of Rumford would like to thank all who participated in the river bank clean up on Friday, August 4, 2017. The cleanup took place along Rumford Avenue and the Androscoggin River between the snow dump and the Information Center. Organizer Tony Bennett, along with about 30 volunteers and Town of Rumford employees, pulled out 3 shopping carts, multiple tires, mixed metals, and enough trash to fill an 8 yard trailer. We hope this effort will be a stepping stone to help improve our quality of life and show off the beauty in the area. If each of us makes a decision to help our community it will have a huge impact overall. Any ideas on neighborhood clean up days out there? Let us know and we will promote it on our website!
